I'm gonna be talking about short form videos for a long, long time. And I'm going to try to get a lot more specific in these episodes. And kind of give you guys a synopsis of and some results of how I'm doing in my short form content journey. But there are a few things that I've been seeing a lot of creatives miss in their videos. And I'm going to group everything together today. So whether it's on tick tock, well, I'm not gonna, I'm gonna group some things together. And I'm not going to group everything together. But I'm not going to be specific unless I tell you, Hey, I'm saying this on tick tock or I'm seeing this on on YouTube shorts and so on so forth.

But the one thing that I'm that I'm saying, I'll tell you what on YouTube, the thing and I'm saying I just said I wasn't going to be specific, and I was going to be specific. So I'm going to be specific right here. thing that I'm seeing on YouTube shorts is I'm not seeing people utilize emojis, the way that they should, people not using emojis, you can use emojis, and a lot of different areas, and your short form videos on YouTube, there are some about emojis and that YouTube algorithm that that algorithm likes and I've seen this on a lot of viral videos and I could vary from you know from niche to niche or niche to niche depending on who's listening to this and different parts of the world. But I believe that algorithm over there utilize emojis and I can say the same for like tick tock also, make sure you use emojis within the content. You can also leave use emojis on like your, like your covers on YouTube, I don't worry about them so much on tick tock which you can play around with it on your, on your in covers of what have you. Emojis is something that that's been popping up in me studying a lot of viral videos on both of those platforms.

Another thing is captions, I'm noticing that the people that are using captions are doing pretty well. Especially if you're using captions within that and I'm speaking about tick tock here within the Tick Tock universe. I'm noticing that the algorithm I'm noticing that you're getting more views when you are I guess when you are using the app capture feature on tick tock as opposed to if you're using an outside app like cap cut that you're getting you're getting more views but the platform it loves captions. Now on let me see when it comes to captions on YouTube. That's kind of in the air but I will still use them even on YouTube also.

The third thing is trending sounds. I'm not sure if people are even using trending sounds the right way. Some people are not using trending sounds at all in their videos and not getting a lot of a lot of push behind them. How a definitely use trend in sound. I will use trend in sounds as often as possible, especially on tick tock. I've used them on YouTube shorts also but tick tock there's there's Something about remember I'm looking at, I'm looking at algorithms, I'm looking at how, or what's getting the most views, I'm breaking these videos down, I'm looking at everything, especially in, you know, I'm looking more in the 11 or 13 second range videos, or thing, anything less than 13 seconds or so is basically what I'm talking about.

Also, is going to be the last thing here. Descriptions. Make sure you fill those descriptions out, put as much information in there as possible. Make sure you keywords or in those description, make sure you use and obviously, in your title, you want to use keywords, you want to use keywords in your descriptions, I'm gonna get to get right back to description, but I just thought about some when I was talking about emojis, I'm noticing people are putting emojis videos are working well, and people are putting emojis in our titles on YouTube that stood out to me like a sore thumb. So check, you know, just do some of these things, you know, see what your videos are doing without the emoji see what they're doing with the emoji, so on and so forth. But back to the description. Tick tock is doing a beautiful thing right now to where they're, they're allowing more and more words inside their description, I think it's like one or 2000 characters or so right now that you can use. So make sure you're doing that. And they're doing that for SEO purposes. Now you can see tick tock videos in YouTube, not in YouTube. In Google, I'm sorry about that. You can see videos in the in your mobile, I'm noticing more of mobile. If you're looking at YouTube on your phone, you can see tick tock videos in search. That's a big thing. So make sure you fill out the meta description. In those videos. That's really important. That's really important.

So remember, before tick tock wasn't doing that before, before, they're just so you can use just hashtags. And not even fill out anything in the description. You can just put the title and then the hashtags. And that was it. hashtags. I'm like in between on on hashtags too. So I'm kind of you can use hashtags. But are people actually searching to find information using the hashtags? Are they're really doing that even on like Instagram reels are they really doing on Instagram, if you use them cool, see, see how they work with them with hashtag see how they work without them. So I'm not really stressing hashtags. Right now. All those other things, the emojis, the captions, the trend and sounds, descriptions are very important. Descriptions are very, very, very, very important. On tick tock, they're also I think they're important on on YouTube. Also, I wouldn't ignore them on YouTube, I kind of treat that description box, how I would treat the description box if I was doing long form YouTube videos, or like on my long form YouTube video. So I would make sure that I'm utilizing those features that I named in this episode, make sure that you're not missing those things that I spoke about here in your short form videos.

And, you know, a lot of times you have to play with these things, too. You have to play with them. And I spoke previous episode about analytics. So make sure you looking at your analytics analytics, gonna tell the story, it's gonna tell you everything's gonna tell you things about your content is gonna tell you things about your audience. It's very important, you must utilize those analytics, make sure you put out enough videos to where you can check them out. I don't know, maybe your 15 days or 15 videos out, see what those analytics are telling you. I would happen to the analytics as soon as I could. You want to have to generate a lot more content.

First off before you get feedback for the algorithm starts to do his thing and give you feedback on your video. So make sure you utilize your analytics. Regardless of what stage peeking are. Maybe you're two days into making videos peeking around, see if you see anything. Maybe you're five days in and don't get disappeared. Excuse me. Don't get discouraged if you don't see anything. Just keep making those videos and keep checking back look at look at those analytics, and they will tell you a story of your content, they will tell you a story of your audience. It's like your best friend. It's really your best friend in the short form video game. It's gonna tell you everything so make sure you check that out.
